On September 27th, 2024 Hurricane Helene’s flood water roared into downtown Marshall, causing catastrophic flooding and damaging every structure in downtown Marshall; Marshall High Studios was not spared. The building was under water for 30 hours. After the storm passed massive amounts of mud, debris, and trash left their mark on the building and grounds.  While much of the building was salvageable the 4,500 square foot auditorium floor and sub-structure were a complete loss. Since that time, our core team, along with countless people who volunteered their time, energy and expertise have labored relentlessly to clean up, restore and rebuild our cherished building to its former glory.

Our Volunteers come from near and far:

Studio Artists, Marshall, Madison County and western North Carolina residents, local and regional non-profits, faith based organizations from across the country, military personnel and a myriad of individuals and groups.

Where we are now – Our Wants and Needs

By February of 2025 many of the artists were able to return to the second floor as repairs and reconstruction continued on the first floor, auditorium and grounds.

The auditorium and significant other portions of the building are still under construction. At this time, our primary goal is to re-open the auditorium so that it may once again, serve the community.
